Today is your first day in Spain. You are full of enthusiasm and ideas, but you don't know where to go to find like-minded people and useful contacts.

Hello aspiring entrepreneurs and relocants! 👋
Today we urgently wanted to share some important information that is often missing for a «freshly minted» startuper who has received a startup visa to Spain.
Barcelona is a boiling cauldron of startup activity, and even without a budget, you can find plenty of places to make connections and get valuable advice.
Morning: Coworking spaces and cafes with Wi-Fi |
CREC: It's not just a co-working space, it's an entire ecosystem for entrepreneurs. Here you will find not only a comfortable workplace, but also many events, workshops and networking opportunities.

MOB: Another popular co-working space in the center of Barcelona. MOB is famous for its friendly atmosphere and frequent startup events.

Espai Born: Located in the historic Born Market building, this co-working space offers an inspiring environment to work and socialize.

Cafés: Barcelona is full of cozy cafes with free Wi-Fi where you can work and meet other entrepreneurs.
Some of my favorites are Satan's Coffee Corner, Nomad Coffee Lab & Shop, and Federal Café.
Afternoon: Free events and mitaps |
Meetup.com: It is a platform where you can find a lot of free events and mitaps for every taste. Just enter keywords related to your field of activity and you will find a lot of interesting events.
Barcelona Activa: It is a municipal organization that supports entrepreneurs and hosts many free events, trainings and workshops.
Tech Events: Keep an eye out for announcements of tech events in Barcelona. Many of them offer free tickets or discounts for startups.
Университеты: Attend events organized by universities such as Universitat Pompeu Fabra or Universitat de Barcelona. Here you can meet students, professors and researchers working on interesting projects.
Evening: Networking and informal socializing |
Betahaus: This co-working space often hosts evening events and parties for entrepreneurs.

Bars and pubs: Barcelona is famous for its nightlife. Visit popular bars and pubs in the El Born or Gràcia neighborhoods, where startups and investors often gather.
Social Media: Use LinkedIn and other social media to connect with people in your field.
And don't forget...
Be open and sociable: Don't be shy to meet new people and talk about your project.
Offer help: The best way to make friends is to be helpful. Offer your help and expertise to other entrepreneurs.
Be inquisitive: Ask questions, learn from others and don't be afraid to experiment.
Barcelona is a city of opportunity. Make the most of your first day to lay the foundation for a successful startup!
Good luck!
